Background

I started around 2000 in a text editor, hand-coding HTML while Mosaic and Netscape were the whole internet. Before that, Quebec punk zines, Mélomane and Big Bang, where I interviewed Green Day, Bad Religion and Fugazi. First time I published without asking anyone's permission.

Then Recruitsoft and HR software, until 9/11 took the airline and insurance clients and my job with them. Back to college for multimedia, then freelance web: PHP, MySQL, Joomla, WordPress, early SEO. Somewhere in there, Laos and Thailand for a reset that lasted.

In 2010 I booked three weeks in Singapore. Met Pearlyn at a hostel in Luang Prabang, lost my ATM card, never really left. Married in 2011. Li-ann in 2012, James in 2014. My first Singapore job rebuilt an ecommerce site on Joomla; I found Cloudflare mid-DDoS from Vietnam and still use it today.

Rezult started in 2017. I rode GrabFood dawn to night through COVID when the work went quiet, then came back to it. Twenty-five years, every "this changes everything" cycle, dial-up to Flash to WordPress to agents. I'm still shipping. That's the background.
